*** FEDEX CUP is OVER
As the FedEx Cup qualifying approached, and even with Tiger missing
one of the Finals Tournaments, it seemed inevitable that he would win.
I haven't tried to count up what US$ Tiger collected on that Sunday,
it was considerable, and I am sure a decent amount will go into his
charity.
As for his Kiwi Caddie, Stevie, it would have to be the biggest pay day
for any caddie, and enough to keep HIS hobby financed, that of stock car
racing, both in US and in his home country New Zealand.
I have read today, that Stevie William's Charity, has donated 1 million
dollars, to the Childrens Starship Hospital in New Zealand for the
improvement of the facilities for children suffering from Cancer.
Well done Stevie . . . a fantastic input . . .
The Presidents Cup was an Up and Down affair, with the International
Team having a shocker of a first round, recovering brilliantly on
the second day, and then the US Team having a strong final day
with the singles.
. . . .
With the FedEx over, I was feeling the year was over, but, the Fall
Series continues in the US with THE CUT line being very important
for some. AND the HSBC World Match Play Championship, at the
Wentworth Club, Surrey, England this weekend.

I promised a short Newsletter ...
And to finish my comments I have to say I have now seen everything.
A mobile phone with an attachment so that you can video your swing,
and then replay it in the clubhouse . . . in slow motion . . . and
compare your swing to a number of professional players swings
. . . In a mobile phone ?
. . . I guess you will also be able to use it to phone home
as well . . . ?

You may have noticed there is no mention of the World Rugby Cup.
I am still in shock . . . I guess Australians will be feeling
the same . . .

The Odds are said to be hugely higher than winning Lotto, and
needs a computer to do the calculation.
Well, Trevor and Mike Jones, playing in the same group at
Waitemata Golf Club, Auckland, New Zealand, on 21st September:
BOTH hit a Hole in One on the same hole, yes, both balls in
the same hole at the same time . . . . they did have witnesses.
Trevor said "I told him [Mike] before he hit, I said,
"I think my ball might have gone in". And he just said,
"Oh yeah, if I put mine in too I'll take you out to dinner"
"We were very keen to look in the hole, When we got up there,
there were the two balls nestling in there"
