GoforGOLF . . . NEWSLETTER ONE HUNDRED & TWO . . . GoforGOLF
Newsletter Number 102 from GoforGOLF ************************************************************************ Now in our 8TH YEAR with over ** 43,000 ** scorecards entered and courses from over 54 countries . . . and growing by the day. WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE CREATED THIS GOLFING ENVIRONMENT . . . ************************************************************************ IN THIS ISSUE *** The New Zealand Open *** Competition Winner *** Holes in One and Eagles *** WIN ONE Dozen Premium Golf Balls *** HandiTIPS *** More Golf & Sports Links *** Mallet ************************************************************************ *** THE 2007 NZ OPEN The Australasian Tour commenced with The MasterCard Masters in Melbourne, with Aaron Baddeley winning in a play off from Daniel Chopra. Daniel couldn't keep his good run of results together in NZ, finishing 51st. Richard Finch of England took the first place by 3 shots at the incredible, private course, of Michael Hill, The Hills, in Arrowtown, just out of Queenstown, New Zealand. While Richard Finch's win was convincing, the notable result was by New Zealand's own Golfing Icon, Sir Robert James Charles. At 71 years old, he achieved a 68 second round, to be the oldest player to make the cut in Any European Tour Event. And by some 4 years. Not only did Sir Bob make the cut, his 75, 68, 71 & 70 secured him 23rd place. WELL DONE SIR BOB. *** 2007 NEW ZEALAND OPEN PHOTOS I was not be there this year to take the photos I have supplied on the website for the last 7 years. Sorry. Clashes of dates have caused me some hassles. However, I have, for the first time in those 7 years, had the opportunity to watch some of my local major tournament on TV, and see what I haven't seen while behind my camera's lens. I DO intend to be there next year. . . . . . . I do invite and encourage you to send me your views on my comments to email greg@goforgolf.com Enjoy your Golf Greg Paul __________________________________________________________ *** NOVEMBER COMPETITION The November Spot the Ball contest winner is Bruce Philipps of Otaki, New Zealand The winning position was g 12 See below for details of the DECEMBER Spot the Ball Contest. __________________________________________________________ *** HOLES IN ONE and EAGLES 3 GoforGOLF Eagles. 4th Nov Judgeford Golf Club 13th Blue Tee 11th Nov Rancho Vista Golf Club, CA 18th White Tee 26th Nov Hadden Hill Golf Club, UK 18th White Tee Congratulations to all successful GoforGOLFers.
