Yoooooo00 Tiger Woods wasn't quite able to continue his winning way, finishing 2 shots back in the CA - WGC Championship. At his time last year I said . . . and I quote . . . "Tigers run of wins came to an end at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship, but was that just one blip, with his win at the WGC CA Championship indicating he is still very much on line for the Masters at Augusta". Does this sound familiar . . . and will Tiger bounce back at the Masters. The list of likely challengers, comes straight from the world ranking with all the top runners having had top finishes recently. Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Vijay Singh. Then you can't forget Retief Goosen, Ernie Els, and Ozzie Nick O'Hern, as well as Zack Johnson showing up again. And with his WGC - CA Championship showing, I'd have to now include Geoff Ogilvy and Lee Westwood who has been showing out. (If you look back on Newsletter 94, last year, you will find little change to my 2007 pre Masters newsletter). . . . HOW many previous winners are playing: 18 of the around 90 starters, compared to 28 in 2007. Fred Couples, Ben Crenshaw, Raymond Floyd, Zach Johnson (2007), Berhard Langer, Sandy Lyle, Phil Mickelson, Larry Mize, Jose Maria Olazabal, Mark O'Meara, Gary Player, Vijay Singh, Craig Stadler, Tom Watson, Mike Weir, Tiger Woods, Ian Woosnam and Fuzzy Zoeller. Those from 2007 not appearing this year . . . Tommy Aaron, Seve Ballestros, Gay Brewer Jr, Jack Burke Jr, Billy Casper, Charles Coody, Nick Faldo, Doug Ford, Bob Goalby, Jack Niclaus and Arnold Palmer have declined the entry this year. Course Changes Many Clubs are making changes to their courses, renewing greens, improving fairways or just having their courses rerated. Also courses are being re-rated. GoforGOLF relies on clubs and players keeping us informed of these changes. If they are simple changes, send me an email. If they are detailed, please email or mail me the new scorecards. (Don't forget the ladies cards). 2. Passwords If you have lost your password, contact me by clicking "Forgot your Details" button on the first menu. Fill in as much as you can. Remember you may not be the only person with your name in the world. TIPS on PASSWORDS - Your not protecting the royal jewels,SO Keep it short - you don't want to type too much each time Keep it simple - so you can remember it A combination of letters and numbers is always a good idea PLEASE do NOT start it with a '0'.
