New Zealand is renowned for closing down over January, and the expression "the last one out, please turn out the lights" comes from this. For many competitive players, this is their only break away from the serious stuff. For the casual player this is often the Only time they get to play golf. Just enjoy the great game . . . And prepare yourself for the 2009 season With not only FedEX Cup on the US Tour, but now the "RACE to DUBAI" of the European Tour, and while it is called the European Tour, it starts in Asia, includes Australia and is presently in South Africa, moves to Europe over their summer, then as we now know . . . finishing in Dubai. Watch out for the Mercedes-Benz Championship on the 8th January at Kapalua, Hawaii. I wish all GoforGOLfers the best festive season, and look forward to the 2009 Golf season.
