Tiger seems to be peeking Again. Just in time for THE OPEN, The British Open. Looks like he has recovered from his surgery, and is back in top form, both physically and mentally. And has sorted out any hassles he may have had with his Kiwi caddie. (That seems like a bit of a media created problem from what I have seen). The line up of entries for THE OPEN, is terrific . . . see link below. If this isn't the strongest field ever, for many years, then let me know which one was stronger . . . A truly international field, incorporating the best from the US Tour, the Australasian, Japanese, Asian, South African, and European Tours. All at the top of their game. And being played in Kent, England, I understand, the first time ever out of Scotland. We are in for a superb week of golf excellence. Starts on 17th July. Thanks to those who sent me their thoughts on Annika Sorenstan playing in the mens tour event. As I expected there were mixed feeling, from 'No Way', to 'if she can compete then why not". The second is similar to my view, but, I do have to add, was it a fair comparison of her ability, when there was 600 media, more than double the normal for this tournament, probably all following Annika, bigger crowds than are usual for the tournament, and I suspect for most of the Ladies Tour events, and AGAIN, all wanting to see Annika. I say she displayed amasing control and ability, and given another circumstance, with less attention on Annika, I am sure she would continue to put up creditable performances. I do invite and encourage you to send me your views on my comments to email greg@goforgolf.com Greg Paul __________________________________________________________ *** COMPETITION The winner for June is Helen Paki Paki of the Coromandel Peninsula. GoforGOLF, Your Golf RECORD, with Analysis 'Like the Pros' Enter your scorecards into GoforGOLF and you will create a record of your golf. GoforGOLF has been designed to be very flexible, while supplying you with a consistent record of your games and your results. The MORE scorecards you enter the better the analysis you will be able to receive. The Summary Report allows you to select a course, as well as select a period, 'From . . . to . . .'. Whatever period you wish, winter compared to summer, this month compared to last month etc. The Standard Report is a quick report for the last 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 days, or all games. The Standard Report only displays hole by hole averages, for gross, corrected and stableford scores, and for some fun, your best score on each hole. The ADVANCED Report gives you FULL flexibility of being able to select a course and any period you wish. You can use the Advanced Report even if you haven't entered any 'Advanced Scores'. If you have entered Advanced scorecards, you will ALSO receive analysis of your putts, fairways hit, Greens in regulation and more. Have a look at a sample report, click http://www.goforgolf.com/exampleadv.asp 2. Updated Scorecards . . . We do our best to keep scorecards updated. Still we rely on golf clubs, and yourselves / GoforGOLFers, to let us know of changes to courses, whether permanent or only temporary. Email or snail mail me with any changes to your course, and I will update it straight away. IF your Home Course, when you Sign In, appears with three dots at the end, it indicates the scorecard has changed to some degree and we have had to enter the new scorecard separately. Go back to the home page, just click the GoforGOLF logo . . . and you will find a 'Change your Details' button on the green menu. Click, then change your 'Home Course' to the new scorecard entry. 3. US Slope Rating System If you are from a country that has the US Slope Rating Handicapping system, then remember to tick the appropriate box in your master details, click 'Change our details' on the green menu, so that GoforGOLF will automatically adjust your Handicap Index for the course you are playing. GoforGOLF will do all the calculations for you from then on. Email me on . . . greg@goforgolf.com . . . and I will help you with any problems you may have with registering and entering your scorecards and courses.
