My partner in the GoforGOLF website has been fantastic . . . having taken my idea and producing a website that was ahead of its time when we launched it, and although we now compete with many 'copies' of what we created, we still do compete with the big dollars of the US market and for the top class website. Try an enquiry on the http://www.google.com search engine, and search for . . . 'golf analysis' You will find we are NUMBER ONE enquiry from 2150 replies. Having been the instigator of the idea, I am very proud to have created this website with great help on the technical side from Andy and Jeremy Evans, from Electronic Business. To create the facility for the Average Player to create a record of their golf . . . AND get analysis "JUST LIKE the PROS" is fantastic. I hope I have been able to give ALL GOLF players the ability to analyse their game, (as I did in my own time), and consequently help every player to improve their game . . . The CLUB factor has been slow to be picked up. THAT Clubs can have their own CLUB WEBSITE within the GoforGOLF structure, with their own info, details and look. *** The Statistics . . . number of score cards . . . over 27,000 score cards entered number of members . . . 5,000 + registrations (plus associates) number of courses . . . over 2,600 (and you can add your own) number of HITS per month 250,000 plus . . . up to 350,000 p/mth NOTE: These hits are ALL Golf Fanatics . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *** MARKETING . . . WE ARE STILL looking for a Marketing Person. Someone who will sell our advertising space. We have created the action and the enviroment . . . we now need you to sell the space . . . The Local Rules are official rules for golf played at that course and are to be read in conjunction with the Royal & Ancient and USPGA Rules. They are usually displayed on a notice board close to the first tee. The Humewood Golf Club in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, has abundant animal and bird life on the course. The crowned plover "Kiewietjie" (found on the club's logo) nests on or near the fairways and can become quite aggressive should you come too close to its eggs or young. The ground staff place small red flags next to their nests to warn you to stay away. They have a special Local Rule: "Any ball coming to rest within 2 club lengths of a plover's nest, may be lifted and dropped without penalty". http://www.humewoodgolf.co.za/19th.htm Take a note of your club's Local Rules each game. 2. How to improve your game - Compete against yourself. Commence now in recording your hole by hole scores. Once you have four or five scorecards entered, then print out your score analysis. From this, you will be able to see which holes you score well on, and which you have difficulty with. Now identify those that you have par'd (or birdied), and the next two holes you consider the easiest to par (or birdie). During your next round try to beat those holes. When you have beaten them, choose the next two holes and attack them. Once you have succeeded on a hole, you will find you can do it more consistently. Hope this helps you enjoy your golf. 3. WE REQUIRE YOUR HELP We rely on clubs and GoforGOLFers (yourselves), to let us know of any changes to your course and errors in the information we have on GoforGOLF. Please help us by sending us up to date information. Email me on . . . greg@goforgolf.com . . . and I will help you with any problems you may have with registering and entering your scorecards and courses. REMEMBER the more scorecards you enter, the better the analysis you will receive from GoforGOLF. __________________________________________________________ *** SUGGESTIONS, QUESTIONS & COMMENTS Suggestions, questions and comments are welcomed.
