Some superb play from all the lead players, and a great group of leaders they were, showing their form is coming right just when required, with two weeks to go. With Phil Mickelson's recent form, Vijay Singh's wonderful start to the year, and now Ernie showing he is ready with another win, and Tiger . . . literally storking them all with a third. And what about Fred Couples, my favorite. I love his swing and his attitude. I don't remember seeing him play so well for some years, so well under control. Only Ernie's brilliance kept Fred from winning. Well, I'm taking the 4 days off. I can't be there in person, but, I will be in front of the TV to see as much as I can. There are a bunch of others I haven't mentioned, who have been hanging around in the top 10 recently, and always the threat of a new major winner. (As 2003 showed). I'll pick one of the guys mentioned above. What do you think ? Bring It On - I Can't Wait. An Interesting Stat - Ernie Els joins Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson to have won at Muirfield, UK and Muirfield Village, USA. On the other side of the Atlantic, it was great to see a new name create a record, Simon Khan, setting a new course record at The Celtic Manor Wales Open, a 61, and then go on to win the tournament on the 2nd play off hole. Terrific. I do invite and encourage you to send me your views on my comments to email greg@goforgolf.com Greg Paul __________________________________________________________ *** MAY COMPETITION The winner for May was Alan Wilkes of Richmond, Nelson, NZ.
