The Northern Hemisphere Tours have drawn to a close, with only the odd special tournament and the qualifying tournaments still underway. While the Southern Hemisphere starts up, with the PGA and Mastercard Masters in Australia and Nedbank Golf Challenge and dunhill Championship in South Africa kicking off the respective tours. For us downunder, we approach christmas and our summer holidays. I am looking forward to a break and playing a few games of golf. Holiday Golf Don't forget to collect an extra card when you visit new courses on your holidays. This way you will be able to submit your score for handicapping while at the course you play, and take the other one home to load into your Golf Record on GoforGOLF. If the course you play is not on GoforGOLF, YOU Can ADD IT, or mail or email it to us, and we will add it. Our address is at the bottom of this newsletter and on the website. *** Once a course is loaded it is ready for the next time you visit, or a fellow GoforGOLFer visits that course. Email me on . . . greg@goforgolf.com . . . and I will help you with any problems you may have with registering and entering your scorecards and courses. 2. Courses to Play Use the "Find a Course" button to find courses at your holiday destination. Select the country, then select the district, or view the Full Directory listed by Location. 3. New Members - Welcome To help you enjoy GoforGOLF I make the three following suggestions: a. Tick the 'Use USPGA Slope Rating for score entry' This will make GoforGOLF automatically calculate your course handicap from your handicap index. b. Select your Home or Default course. This can be the most used course you play, and it will automatically load when you 'Sign In'. You can still select other courses in the usual way, but, this will save you time when you play your own/usual course. Both these are accessed through the 'Change your Details' button on the green menu, once you have 'Signed In'. c. You can change your 'Handicap Index' at the time you enter your score. Just tick the box alongside the 'Handicap Index' once you have selected the course you played and have entered the date you played, and your master information will be updated, ready for next time.
