GoforGOLF . . . NEWSLETTER EIGHTY . . . GoforGOLF
Newsletter Number 80 from GoforGOLF ************************************************************************ Now in our 7TH YEAR with over 35,000 scorecards entered and courses from over 53 countries . . . and growing by the day. WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE CREATED THIS GOLFING ENVIRONMENT . . . ************************************************************************ IN THIS ISSUE *** 2006 Heats Up *** Competition Winners *** Holes in One and Eagles *** WIN ONE Dozen Premium Golf Balls *** HandiTIPS *** More Golf & Sports Links *** Choke ************************************************************************ *** 2006 Heats Up With the 2006 US PGA Tour underway, and the European Tour commencing with a series of co-sanctioned tournaments in the East and Asia, it is interesting to see the top guys are already showing out. I presently have to say that that Vijay seems a bit off the pace, although an 8th in Abu Dhabi showed some form. Tiger has of course had a Win at the Buick, along with a tied for 3rd so far in Dubai. Phil Mickelson has had a 5th and an 8th, while Ernie Els' return has been consistent with a 1st and 2nd in December, a 13th in the Qatar Masters a nd is presently in 6th in Dubai. With such early season form, it is hard to see any one else challenging these guys to the top positions. Still, there have been some great recent performances, with Robert Allenby's triple victory in Australia, and Retief Goosen winning in South Africa and l eading in Dubai. It all leads one to the conclusion that this year will again keep our interest from beginning to end. Enjoy the Golf Greg Paul I do invite and encourage you to send me your views on my comments to email greg@goforgolf.com Greg Paul __________________________________________________________ *** DECEMBER & JANUARY COMPETITION The winner of the December Spot the Ball was Lindsay Klee of Rotorua, New Zealand.
