The FedEx Cup. Briefly, the FedEx Cup commences on 4th January with the Mercedes Championship and goes through to The Tour Championship in September. The FedEx Cup is determined by points from the various tournaments, and not the accumulation of dollars, and concludes with the Championship Series of, Barclays Classic, Deutsche Bank Champs, BMW Champs and The Tour Championship. After the FedEx Cup, there is a separate Fall Series, which will be included in the determination of the 125 automatic tour cards. Further details are still to be posted on the PGA Tour website. *** To conclude the 2006 International Season: The PGA Tour was won by: 1 Tiger Woods, 2 Jim Furyk, 3 Adam Scott, 4 Vijay Singh, 5 Geoff Ogilvy European Tour 1 Padraig Harrington, 2 Paul Casey, 3 David Howell, 4 Robert Karlson 5 Ernie Els LPGA Tour 1 Lorena Ochoa, 2 Karrie Webb, 3 Annika Sorenstam, 4 Julie Granada 5 Cristie Kerr European Ladies 1 Laura Davies, 2 Gwladys Nocera, 3 Sophie Gustafson, 4 Annika Sorenstam & 5 Linda Wessberg World Rankings 1 Tiger Woods 20.41, Jim Furyk 8.88, Phil Mickelson 7.17 4 Adam Scott 7.03 & 5 Ernie Els 6.05 Also, 6 Retief Goosen 5.61, 7 Vijay Singh 5.58, 8 Padraig Harrington 5.46, 9 Luke Donald 5.25 & 10 Geoff Ogilvy. Watch the schedules as a few tournaments have new dates. Have a great 2007 golfing year. .......... Circled Score I am frequently asked what the "circled" score function is in GoforGOLF. This is called different things in different countries. Click on the link below and go to the HandiTips section http://www.goforgolf.co.nz/newsletter/news64.asp 2. New Members - WELCOME - Some useful TIPS To help you enjoy GoforGOLF I make the following suggestions: a. Password - Don't make it too difficult or too long, as you need to type it in each time you visit GoforGOLF. (Unless you choose to 'automatically' remember it). Please do not start with a zero, '0', as it makes it difficult for us to search if you forget your password. b. If you forget your access number or password, don't register again, use the 'Forgot your Details?' button on the green menu, and we will email you back. Send us your access number if you can, it is on your last newsletter. Remember, the more scores you enter, the better the analysis will be. c. Select your Home or Default course. This can be the most used course you play, and it will automatically load when you 'Sign In'. You can still select other courses in the usual way, but, this will save you time when you play your own/usual course. This is accessed through the 'Change your Details' button on the green menu, once you have 'Signed In'. d. You can change your 'Handicap Index' at the time you enter your score. Just tick the box alongside the 'Handicap Index' once you have selected the course you played and have entered the date you played, and your master information will be updated, ready for next time. REMEMBER the more scorecards you enter, the better the analysis you will receive from GoforGOLF. __________________________________________________________ *** MORE GOLF & SPORTS LINKS The 2007 season has started in the Southern Hemisphere, with co sanctioned tournaments, while the 2007 US PGA Tour is underway in Hawaii with the Mercedes Championship, the first tournament of the new FEDEX Tour Championship.
