The Second Day - The second day proved to be infinitely better for both players and spectators.
After a few small rain showers, the afternoon turned out to be fine, while still having a good
breeze to keep the players on there toes.
The course is in excelent condition, as they say . . . looking a picture . . .
I apologise for not covering the first day, but, having been unwell for some 3 weeks prior,
the news of 60 km winds and driving rain kept me away.

My Bunker Shot - Jason Norris, Ben Bunny and Ricky Schmidt all put their approach shots
at the 17th in the bunker, to supply me with my traditional must get bunker shot.
This is my pick from the three.

My Third Day Coverage - My third day coverage starts with Michael Long in the bunker at the 9th,

Overhead conditions were fine, however there was a brisk wind blowing causing havoc on the
more exposed holes.

Did they PAY - A couple of non payers try to sneak into the event. Surely
the officials would have noticed them . . . but . . . did they throw them out . . .
particularly that prickly guy.

The Final Day - I arrive with some 4 hours of golf still to go. The day is fine again, but,
the wind is as strong as saturday probably even stronger, so the challenge of the last round
is heightened.
My first photo is of Nathan Green on the 18th green. Nathan started in 39th place. What I didn't
know was the score he had set, for the day, along with his playing partner Nick Dougherty.
My coverage is not as intensive as usual, as I had been unwell for several weeks prior. I hope
you still enjoy my photo coverage of the 2006 NZ Open.
